Dad left this life on earth at 12:15 a.m. (Anchorage time) on February 19th, to join Jesus in Heaven. An answered prayer that the Lord called him home and he went peacefully :) We celebrate his Home-going, and remember the best things about his life with us.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and stories, stories are what keep the memory of loved ones alive in our hearts. I will miss dad but know we will be reunited in heaven. I can see the whole Smith family rejoicing together before the Lord, reunited after such a long time apart. Soon the rest of us who remain and love Jesus will be there too.

Although I haven't been able to visit you these last few years, you have always been a PRESENCE in my life. I missed having a good discussion with you, and know that we will do that again, someday. Godspeed my friend, and enjoy health and happiness in your new life. You will live in my memory forever.

Thank you for loving me and accepting me as our own flesh and blood. God gave you to me when I needed you most. The love you showered on us and our children is more precious to me than gold. Thank you for caring for me while I recoverd from giving birth and helping in so many more ways. I feel that I have been truly loved and pray that you felt loved in return. kd
